What services to do you offer?

I’m a solo performer, who sings popular songs accompanied by the guitar and piano (or a keyboard
for venues that don’t have one). I also offer DJ services. I can provide you with all the entertainment you need for your whole day, or just play for part of it—it’s totally up to you. In addition to weddings, I often play at private parties and corporate events. Here’s just a few wedding entertainment ideas and services I can offer…

*Instrumental piano during your welcome drinks as your guests arrive.
*Live or recorded music during your drinks reception after your wedding ceremony.
*Live or recorded background music through your wedding breakfast.
*Speakers and microphones for your guests to use during the wedding speeches.
*Live or recorded music as you walk down the aisle.
*A special song chosen by you, which I can play live for your first dance.
*DJing for your evening entertainment, using your favourite songs.
*I can also act as master of ceremonies, for example announcing your arrival into the dining room or introducing the speeches.
*If you’ve got a specific pre-recorded song you’d like playing, but it’s too long (for example, it takes a while to get to the chorus or you’d like a certain section repeated) I can edit it for you so you can get exactly what you’re looking for.

Entertainment doesn’t just stop at music…
What about having a magician to wow your friends and family during your wedding breakfast? Or a photo booth so that everyone can have fun taking their own snaps? I can provide these, through other suppliers.

What parts of the UK do you cover?

I’m based in Berkshire and play all over the UK, but am most often found playing in the south of England and midlands, including London, Hampshire, West Midlands, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Dorset and Devon. I’m happy to play further afield, including if you are getting married abroad; please get in touch with me to discuss your specific requirements.

How do I know if you’re available?
Please get in touch, letting me know which date you have in mind. If I’m available, I’ll keep the date free for 48 hours until the deposit of £100 is received.

What songs do you play?

I play everything from heartfelt love songs to upbeat tunes from the sixties right through to current chart hits. I can also play instrumental music. Please take a look at my song list and sample playlists for a better idea of what I can do.

Will you learn a song for me?

Of course! I know many songs besides those listed (and I’m learning new ones all the time) so chances are I may already know the one you have in mind. If not, I am happy to learn a special song for you prior to your wedding.

Do you take requests?

I’m always happy to take requests during my performances—whether that’s while I’m playing live or DJing.

Tell me more about your wedding DJ and disco.

I provide professionally mixed together songs based on the kind of music you like and this comes with all the standard disco lighting and sound equipment you’d expect to get everyone up and dancing. A smoke machine is also available (venue dependant), as well as uplighting and star cloth as extras.
Hiring me as your DJ saves you the hassle of dealing with multiple suppliers and is great for medium and smaller sized venues as it saves having two sound systems installed. It also means I can provide a seamless transition from live music to the DJing so there’s no silent moments!

Can you play outside?

I often play outdoors and it’s no problem providing there’s an electrical supply, but it is of course weather dependant. As weather can be very unpredictable, it’s a decision that’s best left close to the day (or the morning of your wedding).

How long does it take for you to set up?

Again, this depends on exactly what’s being installed. A simple set-up with easy access to the performance location can take as little as half an hour, but larger installations with lights, etc, that are harder to get to (or set ups in multiple locations) can take up to two hours.

Can you play more than one location?

Yes! Depending on how far everything needs moving, this can take anything from 20 to 45 minutes.
Alternatively, I can put a second sound system in place at the beginning of the day (at an extra charge) which’ll give you entertainment in two places without any break in the middle.
I’m also happy to play in more than two locations—please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.

I’m not sure exactly what kind of entertainment would be right for my wedding.

With so many options, it can be difficult to decide! If you’re having trouble, please just get in touch—I’m always just a phone call away should you want a chat. I have lots of experience playing at weddings and can help suggest what might work best for you, based on your personal preferences and what kind of venue you’re getting married in.

I’m thinking about having a band.

Even though I’m a solo performer, I can use a special pedal to build up a live backing track. Think Ed Sheeren! This gives a much bigger sound, like there’s more musicians playing along with me. If you’d like to see an example of this, please check out my videos.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for more than a solo act for your evening entertainment, I can join you with my band Notes. Please get in touch to find out more.

How much do you charge?

I provide wedding packages to suit a whole range of budgets, which you can view here. These can be tailored to your needs. I also provide entertainment for other kinds of events, such as anniversaries or birthday parties. Please get in touch so we can chat about what you’re looking for.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A deposit of £100 will secure your booking date. This can be paid via cheque or bank transfer.

Is your equipment PAT certified?

Yes, all of my equipment is PAT certified. I’ll happily provide a copies of the certified to any venues that require them.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have public liability insurance covering up to £5 million. Please drop me a line of you’d like a copy of this.

If you have any other questions, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.
